Preparing for Surgery
If you are scheduled for a Colonoscopy, you will receive a call the week prior to your procedure to discuss medical history, colonoscopy prep instructions, medication instructions, etc.
All other surgical procedures will receive a pre-operative phone call to discuss medical history, medications, and instructions 1-2 days prior.
If you have not received a call by 2pm the day prior, please call the FGH surgery department. If your surgical procedure is scheduled on a Monday, please call by 2pm the Friday prior.
Please utilize the attached printable instruction sheet that covers what you need to know prior to your colonoscopy.
DO NOT EAT OR DRINK ANYTHING AFTER MIDNIGHT
- No smoking, vaping, or chewing tobacco
- No gum or candy
