Cardiac Rehabilitation

Cardiac Rehabilitation Services offers a broad range of services for people on their way to recovery. From Phase II to the Phase III program, cardiac rehabilitation provides individualized treatment plans to rebuild or develop the skills needed in home, social, and work environments. Individuals are generally referred to rehabilitation services by their cardiologist, so please remember to ask for FGH Rehabilitation Services.

Education is a very important part of the Cardiac Rehab program. Education topics include:

  • Healthy eating
  • Safe exercise
  • Understanding heart disease
  • Medications
  • Managing specific risk factors
  • Emotional health
  • Managing stress

Hours of Operation

Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. for up to 36 sessions.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Pulmonary Rehabilitation helps individuals with pulmonary disease lessen their symptoms by making healthy lifestyle changes and being more active. It also provides education and support to manage living with chronic lung disease. Chronic lung disease may include emphysema, chronic bronchitis and asthma.

Tuesdays & Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. for up to 36 sessions.

Education is a very important part of the Pulmonary Rehab program. Educational topics include:

  • Breathing retraining and paced walking
  • Lung diseases
  • Safe exercise
  • Medications
  • Keeping your lungs clean and healthy
  • Conserving energy
  • Eating to feel better
  • Managing stress

Who Is Eligible for Pulmonary Rehab?

Eligibility is based upon the following:

  • A diagnosis of moderate to severe pulmonary disease
  • The results of your pulmonary function test show the severity of your disease and the results are no older than one year
  • A non-smoker or participating in a smoking cessation program
  • Uncontrolled shortness of breath

To ensure success, you must be motivated to participate and you must continue to use all that you will learn, even after you complete your rehab sessions.
